Activity 5 Naughty elf

This is my LAST WEEK ACTIVITY. For this activity, I made a letter to Santa (As a naughty elf) and saying sorry that I've been really bad as you can see. One of my favorite parts was saying ( I can make your cookies even though I'm the naughtiest elf I'm the best cook in the North Pole well Mrs. Claus is way better than me but out of the elves I'm the best cook.) and my other favorite part was (P.s PLEASE FORGIVE ME!! <3) I added that because I thought it would be funny.

Christmas countdown Activity 3\ last

What are some ways that people celebrate Christmas in the country you have chosen? An old tradition in France is they carry wood (Cherry wood) and sprinkled red wine on the wood and put it in the fire because they like the smell of it.

Christmas Countdown Activity 2 (The real activity 2)

This is my activity 2, I haven't done it in order because you don't have to. I made a wreath on a door the blue thing is a doorbell I made it for extra detail. all I have to do now is just do door number 3 and then I'm done all the activities. This was really fun to make, the black is part of the door its kinda like the sides of the door. I got my friend Melissa to help me do the wreath outline and once I was done with the wreath I thought I could add extra detail so I made a door, door nob, ornaments, and a doorbell. My favourite part was making the door and adding extra details.

Activity 2\4 (Christmas Countdown) Wrapping Paper

This is my Christmas Countdown I already posted one today but I finished it yesterday. This is activity 4 but its the second one for me. It was kinda easy making the Christmas tree because all you had to do it just get triangles and put them in the other triangles and get a square and color, oh and don't forget to color the triangles and then add little circles make them any color you want and then done. For the snow, I just added diamond stars and spread them everywhere and then colored them and for the background, I gradient and pressed custom and I added white and read I think the colors I chose for the background were the right colors to put.

Christmas Countdown Activity 1 Reindeer Recipe

This week we did a new activity its called Christmas Countdown and this week I did a Reindeer recipe if we did this activity we had to make to a recipe so I made an evil recipe and a nice recipe. It was really fun making this oh there are 4 activities you can start from anyone and make your way through. I started at one and I'm gonna make my way through to number 4. I had to be specific because someone might read it wrong.

Fire

For this task, we were building a pit fire! It was really fun we also made sparks with flint. But some people didn't make sparks I didn't make sparks with it which is really sad but most of my troop made sparks with it. The hardest part was trying to make the sparks because when I pressed hard on the flint it still didn't make any sparks it was very sad. But oh well I have a picture of my troop doing the fire.

Orienteering

For this task, we had to find clues with letters on them and write them on paper, sort of like a scavenger hunt and there was a secret word mixed up in the letters and the word was "Burrito" we had to do it with our troops and it was actually fun doing the activity. The most thing that was hard was finding B because we were looking for it everywhere but we couldn't find it until Jessie L found it under the big blue.

Cooking

For our Survival task, we made some foods like a baked potato and banana split. Lots of people don't like bananas or potato but we still have to make them. If people made them and didn't want to eat them they would just take it home and maybe give it to there family. The potato is so good I just finished eating it and it was so good. I haven't had the banana split yet but I'm pretty sure it's really good. I just had the banana split and I didn't really like it but I gave it to my friends and they really loved it. But I did like some of the marshmallows I give the potato 10\10 and I give the banana 5\10 Here is a photo of me and Izzy eating the baked potato.

Survival Bag

 This is my Survival bag. I got all the stuff that you need going camping or going for a tramp. Even though we will not stay the night I think it's still a good idea do bring a sleeping bag just in case. I added double-ups of stuff in case you run out, I packed a flare gun just in case you get stranded somewhere. As you can see I got some trail mix to eat when you get hungry I got a flashlight to see and I got batteries in case the batteries die. I have a pocket knife so you can cut food and other stuff.

Fabulous Finish

 This is my Fabulous Finish. I did More About Me of Ghost. Under the coloured flaps, it is the same color as the title under it so on every square its the same coloured flap as the title underneath. It was really fun making this. I've never done More About Me but it was so fun for the first time!

If you're stressed in the middle of the forest just do these 4 things and you will calm down and more likely to have a better time in the forest.

Finding fresh water

1. Dig somewhere damp - most likely to be water under the dirt if wet.

2. Find a place near a river to dig 

3. Get water from the rain or boil polluted water.

Shelter 
What to use for building a shelter

1. Build upon high grounds in case of flooding.

2. Build on flat ground - you don't want to fall down a hill when your sleeping.

3. Bring wood\twigs

             How to start a fire
make sure that you have the supplies that you need for a fire.

1. Find some twigs\sawdust\flint\wood- rub them together or get matches.

2. Get some leaves (not wet leaves)

3. Make sure to get a source of water and keep a shovel near you at all times just in case the fire gets bigger

                   Basic first aid

1. Bring bug repellent

2. Bring a bag of plasters, band-aids, medicine that you might need.  
3.Sunscreen

This is my figure 8 knot. It was kinda hard but I got lots of people to help. You can use this knot for stopping things from going somewhere.  I got Christine to help me to do most of the knots and it was fun. I wish I mastered more than three knots but oh well. I give this 3-5 because I  thought It wasn't the best one I had done but it was still cool.

Bowline Knot

This is the Bowline knot I made with a little help again but it was really fun. When I first did it I was so confused that it made a tiny baby knot. Yesterday I mastered it but I forgot how to make it so I got some help from a teacher. It was probably more challenging than the reef knot but it was really fun. I give this a 4-5 because it was a little harder and more complicated. You could use this for attaching things onto it.

This is the reef knot that I made. I got a little help though, I made a couple other knots but Ill put them in my next blog post. I'll tell you the knots that I mastered, reef knot, clover hitch, and Alpine butterfly knot. When I first tried doing the reef knot It was kinda hard and I was saying in my head I can't do it but in the end, I did it. Out 1-5 I give it 5 because first, it was challenging but it easy after I mastered it 4 times. You could probably use this for joining other rope to make it stronger.

CC Week 5 T4 Digital design Any Task from the past week

 This is my week 5 Chapter Chat. I made a shoplifter sign of Ghost we were allowed to do any task from the past weeks if you finished all your tasks. It was really fun making this I couldn't draw shoes like that so I got a picture from the internet. The book never said what age Ghost was so I put 12-13. I also put random numbers to make a phone number, so if people know it was Ghost they would call the owner of the sports shop.  I made the background red and white so it look like a running track.  

The Falcons Putting up the Tent!

As a troop, we were putting up the tent!

 Putting up the tent was very Succesful and we did it as a team. It was very fun. The hardest part was trying to take it down and the easiest part was taking the photo with it. I didn't go in the tent because there wasn't enough room for me to fit in. We took less than 5 minutes to do the tent, there was a couple mistake we did but we fixed them up.

Research Centre CC T4 W4

This is my week 4 Term 4 Chapter Chat. This week I did Research Center. You can't really see it but there are facts about Jason Reynolds and a couple questions on the poster,  so sorry that you cant see it. I really had fun researching Jason Reynolds, my favorite part was researching how many books he wrote. This possibly could be my favourite activity so far.

The Falcons Shelter

These are the two bush shelters that we would like to have a go at building. We think that the one on the left is the one that we are most likely to build. We are going to do our best and work as a team to build a shelter altogether. We are all really excited to start building it to see what it will look like in the end. The tools that we think we will need to be using is teamwork, rope, and tarp also maybe some sticks. To get through this and finish it we will need to use our learning powers and work together as a team.

The best place to build a shelter is on a flat area. The shelter is to protect you from the wild and mosquitos. you could use a tarp wood or fabric. The pros and cons of living in a bush shelter are getting bitten by mosquitos finding fresh water from a lake getting eaten by a bear and finding food that is fine to eat.

Week 3 T4 Creation station

This is my week 3 Chapter Chat activity. The task was to create coach Brody's motivation car or draw coach brody, so that's what I did it wasn't as good as I imagined but I tried I'm really bad at drawing. I really enjoyed doing the clipboard because it was most likely the easiest and fun I kinda made the coach were a turtle neck and I made him look bad but it doesn't matter.

Week 2 Term 4 CC A way with words

Dear, Mum 

 I really want some new running shoes from Nike there the newest model and apparently there amazing. So please, please, please can you buy me them, oh and I don't just want them I NEED THEM I WILL DIE WITHOUT THEM!!! And I'm not taking no for an answer. I have three reasons why I need them

Calendar Art

 This is my calendar art. I did me in a flower it was very fun to make I tried to make little designs on the flowers but it didn't work out. For the sun I kinda copied my friend Alice but she didn't care. The one I like the most was the one with me in it my favorite part was doing the grass and the tiny flowers.

W1 T4 CC Digital Design

 This is my week 1 term 4 Chapter chat. My activity is to create Coach Brody's buzziness card I made a taxi card and a coach card. The book that we are reading is called Ghost it is really cool. I make a fake website to add extra detail. I added some numbers that I put together to make the phone numbers I also put four stars on the taxi card to say the cab is good quality. 

My Holiday!!!

 Week one: In the holidays I basically did nothing, but I did go to Hamilton and went shopping. It was kinda boring, I really wanted to go to my friend's house but mum and dad were too busy at work.  Basically all the holiday I watched Netflix, Youtube and play outside, I have to admit it was very boring in the holidays.

 Week two: I still did nothing much but on Tuesday my Grandma passed away and my family and  I went to her funeral. I stayed at my anties house because she had my nephew at her house and my cousin came and stayed at her house too. 

Best blog on the block Term 3 week 9

This is my best blog on the block post. I made a book cover of Holes we had to add a back cover as well.  I did holes evry were I made the warden on the back cover I did it in google drawings. It was quite hard doing the warden because I was using scribble and my fingers were getting sore I got my friend Ashley to help me to the lizard. we weren't allowed to actually copy the book so I came up with random stuff from the book.

Fabulous Finish term 3

This is my week 8 - week 9 fabulous finish. I did the Warden from the book Holes when we finished the book we got to watch the movie. In the movie the warden forced the boys to dig Holes 5 feet wide and 5 feet deep. My favorite part doing the warden was making the flaps and doing the hair and what I disliked was making the right body shape.

Week 7 CC Make anything from Holes

This is my week 7 Chapter Chat. I did Stanley and Zero talking to each other. Stanley is blue and Zero is grey. I did spelling mistakes because this is when Zero couldn't spell very well. I did a cliffhanger at the end because it wouldn't let me add more words into the fake messages so I ended it with sure. My favorite part was "yeh I'm just tird fro diging hols".

This is my week 6 Chapter Chat. I made a missing poster. It was really fun making these, I made Stanley Yelnats (Caveman) and Hector Zeroni (Zero). I forgot to add their ages so I`ll say them now so Stanleys age is 14 and I think Zeros age is 13.

 

Week 5 term 3 Vocab

This is my week 5 Chapter chat. I did Vocab my favorite is parched not because of the colors but I found it the easiest and more fun to do. The hardest was protruding because it was hard to think of things to write.

This is my week 3 term 3 Chapter chat. This week I did a way with words the activity was to make acrostic Poems of Camp Green Lake. I made this at home because I was sick I did it because I didnt want to miss out on the activities so I made it at home.

For this week I did the Research centre about my dream job I want to be a scientist when I'm older. when I'm older I want to be a culinary chemist I think being a scientist is very fascinating. I either want to be a culinary chemist or just a scientist.

This is my week 1 term 3 chapter chat we are reading Holes. for creation station, I made a sign, It says You are entering Camp Green Lake Juvenile Correctional Facility. I made durt piles, the dyed up lake, the tents and I made a hall for the warden's office. I made the sign the color red because you're watching out for Camp Green Lake.

This Is my Fabulous Finish. It Is a pop out creation I did clouds, trees, and a door but I didn't do the door, pop out because It will look like someone has busted the door down. I put Ally in the middle because she's the main character In Fish in a Tree.

 This is my week 7 creation station. It's the A that Suki gave Ally, I put the A on Allys desk I drew Mr. Daniels desk, two other desks, Chalkboard, the door and other things you can see in this drawing.

This is my week 6 Chapter Chat for this week I did Creation Station. For this activity, I did the candy in front of the school you can't really see the pencil because I chose red paper, but I did a school, candy and a playground well It's not really a playground It's just a slide.

This Is my week 5 Chapter chat for vocabulary. I write on cards and glued the string to the cards the words in vocab are Diagonally, Incorporate, Logically, restoration, sacrificed and opponents.
So those are the vocabulary words that I did. I was a little bit behind but I caught up.

This is my Fantastic Fabulous Finish. I did M.r Wiltshire from where cuckoos call. He has little pockets under the flaps were his money and the contract is to get Mansfield bay. he is very greedy so I did a helicopter to show how greedy he is.

Vocab challenge

This is the vocabulary challenge I did it was quite easy it only took 3 days all you had to do was think of the same sounded word but It`s got to spelt differently. Homophones are two words that are different but, sound exactly the same.
